Henry County Public Schools Foundation Launches ‘Drive for Bright Futures’ Golf Tournament

HENRY COUNTY, GA – The Henry County Public Schools Foundation (HCPSF) will host its inaugural “Drive for Bright Futures” golf tournament on Sept. 29 at the Georgia National Golf Club in McDonough.

Proceeds from the tournament will fund athletic programs and other resources for students and teachers in Henry County Schools.

“We hope this event will link community leaders, businesses, and supporters around a shared commitment to strengthening education in Henry County,” said Foundation Director Dr. Maria A. Lumpkin. “A successful ‘Drive for Bright Futures’ will benefit our students as much as a successful fairway drive will benefit your golf game.”

Georgia National Golf Club is located at 1715 Lake Dow Rd. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. The event will include breakfast, lunch, prizes, and a silent auction.

Participants will support local students and educators while gaining the opportunity to network with business and community leaders.

Ticket prices are as follows:

• Individual golfer ($150): Includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, breakfast, lunch, contests, and more
• Foursome ($600): Includes 18 holes, carts, breakfast, lunch, contests, and more
• Non-golfer ($60): Includes breakfast and lunch only with access to awards program

The Foundation is also seeking event sponsors to contribute to the cause. Sponsorships offer organizations visibility in the community and alignment with educational impact.

Sponsorship levels are as follows:

• Title sponsor ($10,000): Includes premier logo placement on all event materials, banner placement at the tournament, two foursomes, and a speaking opportunity at the event
• Platinum sponsor ($5,000): Includes prominent logo placement, one foursome, hole signage, and event recognition
• Gold sponsor ($2,500): Includes logo placement on signage and materials, one foursome, and hole sponsorship
• Silver sponsor ($1,500): Includes one foursome and hole signage
• Hole sponsor ($250): Includes a custom sign displayed at one hole

Sponsors of this year’s event include Snapping Shoals EMC, Georgia Power, and Clarity AV Group.
