Hello and welcome students, parents and the Flippen community members!  My name is Lora Shelton and I am excited and honored to serve as Flippen Elementary School full time school counselor for the 21-22 school year.  This is my first year serving at Flippen Elementary; however, I have been working the area of school counseling for seven years here in Henry County.  I will be actively serving all students but primarily grade levels Kindergarten-3rd grade this school year.  I love working with children and their families while living out my life's purpose inspiring, encouraging, teaching and motivating learners using intentional core curriculum lessons focused on addressing their social emotional, academic and career needs. I will be providing small group counseling as well as individual counseling as based on the needs presented.   

My hobbies include spending valuable time with my family and my fur baby Gabby, home interior design and traveling. 

I obtained my Bachelor of Psychology degree from University of West Georgia and my Masters of School Counseling from Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida.  I am extremely excited to begin this journey of face-to face learning and the start of the new school year.  I am truly looking forward to serving you this school year!  It is going to be a Flippen Fabulous school year!
